The NSVP is a lightweight man-portable machine gun intended to be used against helicopters, paratroopers, infantry soldiers and light armoured vehicles. It can be mounted on the ground (on a tripod), on vehicle, on naval craft and on tank. The advantages of the NSVP are: suitable range, less stoppage in comparison with the machine guns of the same type, quick exchange of barrel during operation, quick disassembly and reassembly, lightweight and capability of being equipped with telescopic sight and night vision equipment.
